Subtle Botanicals is committed to a sustainable future. We dream of a healthy planet and actively take steps to realize this dream. 

We acknowledge that a company cannot be sustainable but that adopting sustainable practices is an ongoing company value. Some of our current practices are:

• No exterior packaging on our jars and bottles. While cardboard and paper packaging look nice on the shelf, ultimately they require more energy to create, and recycle.

• High quality, recyclable, and/or re-usable amber glass packaging that preserves the quality and integrity of our products.

• Pre-order windows allow us to make batch sizes to meet order quantities so that products and ingredients are not sitting on shelves expiring and going to waste.

• We take the carbon footprint of shipping into consideration when sourcing ingredients. With this as a guiding value we source certified organic ingredients whenever possible. 

• We re-use paper and packaging whenever possible for shipping.

• We are planning a refill program for the future.
